Nobody should do this alone
The hardest parts of this path are rarely academic. They are the moments you start doubting whether you belong. Those are exactly the moments mentoring is for.
Meet your mentor
PAve the Way Mentoring exists for a simple reason: nobody should have to piece this journey together from scattered advice and guesswork.

I'm a physician assistant and the founder of PAve the Way Mentoring.
Like a lot of PAs, I learned much of this path the hard way. Which prerequisites really mattered. How to talk about my experience without shrinking it. What to do when a plan fell through and the timeline slipped. There was plenty of information out there, but very little of it felt like it was written for me.
So I started doing for other people what I wish someone had done for me: sitting down with them properly, reading the actual essay, asking the harder question, and saying plainly what I would do next. That is what this practice is.

What I believe
The hardest parts of this path are rarely academic. They are the moments you start doubting whether you belong. Those are exactly the moments mentoring is for.
"Be yourself" is not feedback. You will leave sessions with concrete edits, an order of operations and a next step you can take this week.
If something in your application is not working yet, you deserve to hear it from someone who is on your side, early enough to do something about it.
Mentoring is how this profession takes care of its own. That belief is why the PAve It Forward Scholarship exists.
