Funded from the proceeds of this mentoring practice. Because the point was never just to get through, it was to reach back.
How it works
Each year, a portion of what this practice earns is set aside and awarded to one physician assistant student.
PA school is expensive in every currency: money, time, energy, sleep. The PAve It Forward Scholarship is a small, deliberate push for someone carrying more than their share of that weight, and still showing up.
There is no catch and no obligation attached. Recipients are simply asked, somewhere down the line, to do the same for someone coming up behind them.

Every application is read
Personally, and properly. Applications are reviewed against need, dedication and community impact rather than GPA alone.
One student is awarded
The recipient is notified directly and, with their permission, celebrated here. Then the whole thing begins again the following year.
Mentoring is how this profession takes care of its own. The scholarship is that belief, written down and funded.
